Equine Event Venue Coming Soon to Douglas County, Oregon

December 11, 2020

The journey started over 15 years ago. The papers have now been signed and Pegasus Equestrian Venue and Resort has a 3,000 acre site to call home. Pegasus is located in Douglas County Oregon with a direct entrance/exit on Interstate 5, exit 142, Metz Hill Road, just north of Oakland Oregon. To give you an idea of size, when you drive south on I-5 you will be on the Pegasus eastern border for 2 1/2 miles. The site includes a 5100 foot airstrip on it’s ridge line.

The site already has land use approval for a resort, and Pegasus will update this use. Pegasus will include up to 5 indoor climate controlled arenas, numerous outdoor grass and sand arenas, a dedicated combined driving course, an equestrian cross county course, four full size grass polo fields, a resort/spa and more. But most of all, it will be about equestrian competition. It has been a long journey with many obstacles. Anything great is not easy and requires perseverance. Pegasus found the perfect site and it’s gorgeous.

Pegasus is built around the idea of being a true destination resort, and will itself will be the destination for equestrian competitors and spectators on a statewide, national, and international level. Located on about 3,000 acres, the multi-disciplinary equestrian venue project will include up to 5 indoor climate-controlled arenas, numerous outdoor grass and sand arenas, a dedicated combined driving course, an equestrian cross-country course, four full size grass polo fields, a resort/spa, and more. But most of all, it will be about prioritizing equestrian competition.
