Welcome to the Mane Event Expo Chilliwacklogo.final

For over 15 years The Mane Event has hosted some of the best and most knowledgeable horse trainers and educators from North America and beyond! With the help of our trade show exhibitors and attendees we have become Canada’s largest horse expo. We pride ourselves on providing education on cutting edge training methods, equine health, equine entertainment and of course the largest and most diverse equine only trade show in Canada.

Come and experience what our attendees call “The Mane Event

Clinics

Informational clinics from some of the top trainers available to provide information on how to improve your riding skills, training or handling of your equine partner. No matter if it’s in Jumping, Dressage, Reining, Barrel Racing, Back Country Rides, Driving or General Horsemanship you will see it at The Mane Event.

Over 100 hours of equine education, in the form of clinics, demonstration, presentation and lectures only 25 minutes north of the Sumas, WA border crossing. Plus a large indoor equine trade fair. This year’s clinicians are:

Jeff Cook – Hunter and Jumper
Jaimey Irwin – Dressage
Kim Peterson – Working Equitation
Trevor Mertes – Cowboy Challenge
Dana Hokana – Horsemanship
Debbie Cooper – Ranch Riding Class
Jeff Morse – Driving
Robert Eversole – Back Country Horsemanship
Miles Kingdon – Stockmanship
Francesca Carson – Trick Training/Liberty

Come and meet TrailMeister “Robert Eversole” at the Mane Event, October 25 – 27, 2019 at Heritage Park in Chilliwack, BC. Robert will be giving talks each day on Back Country Horsemanship and camping with your horse! Visit www.maneeventexpo.com for more information!

Presentation & Seminars

Up to date presentations from a variety of vendors, veterinarians and experts on Saddle Fitting, Supplements, Nutrition, Health, Travel and new products.

Trainers Challenge

This is where you see a young colt begin its education from some of the best colt starters in the industry. We have 3 trainers compete on their ability to take an unbroke colt on Friday and provide a solid beginning over the 3 days of the event in a round pen and then take them to the arena to show what they have accomplished. BUT remember that both The Mane Event and the trainers involved in this event stress that the training of any horse is not done in 3 days and it takes far more time than is provided at the show. Training a colt is always better from a trained professional and would take months of good training to provide a good solid mount.

The Trainers Challenge will feature some great horse trainers, working with registered Quarter horses from the Rocking Heart Ranch of Alberta:

Jacquelene See (Alberta)
Kyle Fischer (Alberta)
Jake Kruidenier (formerly from Australia but now living in Alberta)

Equine Experience

Our schedule is packed with clinics/presentations designed to educate and entertain the horse enthusiast and when your brain is full you can kick back and relax and watch our Equine Experience show on Saturday night for the unique presentation of local drill teams, trainer performances, trick riding and much more!.

Equine Only Trade Show

Our always popular Equine Trade Fair has some of the largest and best vendors providing some of the best equine shopping under one roof. There is something for everyone, whether horses are your passion or you are just beginning your horse journey. Come out and experience The Mane Event!

Unfortunately due to negligent dog owners not picking up after their dogs we have no choice but to not allow dogs at the Mane Event in the Trade Show or Arena Buildings.

The Mane Event also features some a fun event on Friday evening — the Youth Pro-Am contest where 6 youth riders are teamed up with a clinician then the youth ride their horse through a timed obstacle course and the clinician rides the youth’s horse through the timed obstacle course. The times are combined for a total score and all youth members are given a prize – this is fun and we invite all youth horse owners to apply.

A new event we added last year is the jackpot Cowboy Challenge on Sunday – and all ages of riders are invited to sign up to compete.

Visit our website for information on riding with the clinicians. There is also camping available on-site, please book in advance.

Tickets are available on-line in advance or at the door. Thank you so very much for your time, and we look forward to seeing you in October.
