Washington Horse and Rider Named Traveling Reserve for 2016 U.S. Olympic Eventing Team

Two Olympic veterans and two first-timers make up the team that will represent the United States this summer. On Monday, the United States Equestrian Federation announced the name of the four horse-and-rider combinations and one traveling reserve who will be going to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this summer.

Maya Black (Clinton, Wash.) and Dawn and Jonathan Dofelmier’s Doesn’t Play Fair, a 2005 Holsteiner gelding have been named as the traveling reserve:

Maya Black and Doesn’t Play Fair have a long and successful partnership. Black has truly brought the diminutive (and notoriously opinionated) gelding up from the beginning to their current status as a competitive 4-star team.
