It’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of WHEN.

Equine first aid is the earliest help provided to a horse following injury or detected illness. Prompt emergency treatment can preserve a horse’s life, alleviate suffering, aid the veterinarian’s efforts, and promote recovery.

Join us for a day of hands-on learning so you can gain the confidence to help your horse in an emergency.

Topics include:

• Injury prevention
• Pain detection
• How to take vital signs
• Normal vs. abnormal in the horse
• Conditioning your horse for treatment
• Bandaging techniques for wounds, including eye and hoof
• Colic, choke, casting, collapse, hoof health, and more!

Jennell Kvistad is a certified instructor through Equi-First Aid USA, an international organization dedicated to helping horse owners and lovers improve the health and safety of horses by providing emergency first aid training to individuals, clubs, and organizations across the United States and Canada.
